Exhibition Opening
Friday 13th Feb
Help us celebrate the opening of Speculative Telegraphics, a new exhibition by artist Jack Stahel at the La Perouse Museum.
Speculative Telegraphics brings together intricate, pseudoscientific drawings and historic communications objects from the La Perouse Cable Station to explore how humans have imagined, constructed and speculated on systems of connection across time and distance.
Drawing on the museum’s collection, the exhibition reinterprets the material legacy of global telegraphy through speculative lenses, blurring the boundaries between fact and fiction, history and imagination, and past and future technologies.
Join us at 6pm for casual drinks.
Speculative Telegraphics
Primarily working with the medium of drawing, Stahel has developed a complex, intricate, and pseudoscientific visual language.
